About President

Beverly Schrab, President and Founder of Your Newsy Notes, LLC, is committed to providing top notch customer service and to delivering products that will exceed your expectations. She has over 20 years of experience in executive management; providing leadership in member service, account management/client retention, and business operations.

Prior to launching Your Newsy Notes, LLC in February 2007, Schrab was a business advocate with the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce and the Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce where she held positions of Account Executive, Membership Consultant, and Director of Member Services. In both Chamber positions, Schrab was accountable for wide-ranging activities. In her role as Director of Member Services she was Editor of the Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce’s monthly e-Resource newsletter, the weekly News You Can Use and annual Community Guide and Membership Directory. This is where she fell in love with desktop publishing; the format and design process of creating documents. She was also responsible for communicating the Chamber’s vision, promoting member’s newsworthy events and accomplishments, and networking in the community to keep membership current on news of interest to the business community.

Schrab currently is a proud member of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Accredited Business, Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce; the National Association for the Advanced of Colored People (NAACP); and is a volunteer for the Loudoun County Fair and the Loudoun Literacy Council.

She was previously appointed by Governor Michael O. Leavitt to the State of Utah Office of the Governor – Black Advisory Council, and by Gaithersburg, Maryland Mayor Sidney Katz to the City of Gaithersburg Multicultural Affairs Committee and the City of Gaithersburg Community Advisory Board.  She also was a Board Member for the Girls Scouts of Utah and the Utah Minority AIDS Advisory Board for the American Red Cross

  She has also participated as a member or volunteer of the following organizations: American Association of University Women (AAUW), American Sociological Association (ASA), Association of Black Sociologists (ABS), Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA), Board of Directors of the Loudoun Literacy Council and was the chair of tis Board Development Committee; Loudoun Small Business Development Center (LSBDC) - Inaugural Celebrate LSBDC Event, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Montgomery County Society of Human Resource Management (MCSHRM), National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP), National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), National Council of Negro Women (NCNW), and Utah Women’s Alliance for Building Community (UWABC).

Schrab is a professional model and was affiliated with McCarty Talent, Inc. in Salt Lake City, Utah and is currently represented by the T.H.E. Artist Agency in Washington, D.C. She, through T.H.E. Artist Agency, had the opportunity to be one of the principal talents in the Silver Sprung downtown Silver Spring, Maryland revitalization effort for the Greater Silver Spring Chamber of Commerce and Montgomery County.

Schrab holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from the University of Phoenix, a Master of Social Work Administration (M.S.W.) degree from the University of Utah, a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from Weber State University, a Certificate in Graphic Design from George Mason University, and is a certified Constant Contact trainer.

Beverly and her husband relocated to the Washington, D.C. area from Park City, Utah in the summer of  2003. They enjoy Trikking, biking, roller blading, walking, arts, traveling, and NASCAR.
